Insulation

Only 20% of all  homes built before 1980 are properly insulated!

Most cold air comes in thru your walls, windows and doors and heat escapes thru your attic!

Let PROGRESSIVE REMODELING show you the best way to insulate your home. In either fiberglass blanket or blow in cellulose insulation!

There are some important issues to be considered when insulating, like how much added insulation, preventing mold and mildew build up and much more!

Protect Lighting! Insulation must be kept three inches away from recessed light fixtures unless the fixture is an insulated ceiling fixture. IC fixutures are designed for direct insulation contact.

Ventilate soffit and Roof! Insulation should extend far enough out to cover the top plate of the walls but should not block the flow or air from the eave vents.

Recommended R factors for our area: ATTIC R-49 WALLS R-22
